Biography:
Mustafa Siddiqui is a PhD candidate in the department of Black Studies at Northwestern University. She received her BA in Comparative Ethnic Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Her work considers a Black trans feminist approach to thinking beyond the overemphasis of bodily materiality and racialized gender authenticity, turning to various media objects and cultural phenomena in order to think towards more immaterial and ephemeral imaginings of inter/intra-communal relations. Mustafa is a theorist, creative writer, dreamer, co-conspirator, collaborator, and above all a friend.
