Congratulations to Professor Celeste Watkins-Hayes on being named Associate Vice President for Research. As an AVP, Professor Watkins-Hayes will oversee several University Research Institutes and Centers, primarily in the social sciences and humanities. She will also join her AVP colleagues as a strategic advisor to the Vice President for Research and spearhead initiatives desinged to support the research of faculty working primarily, but not exclusively, in the social sciences and humanities. Professor Watkins-Hayes was also recently awarded the E. LeRoy Hall Award for Excellence in Teaching, which is the highest teaching award given by WCAS each year.
